Terms of Use

For the PodSDR applications (desktop, web, Android, iOS), the server software and the cloud service. Last updated: 9 September 2026.

By downloading, installing or using PodSDR you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software. "PodSDR" below means all of it: the desktop program, the web client, the Android and iOS apps, podsdr-proxy, podsdr-emu and the cloud broker service. "We" means the developer, Michał Zabielski – Afterwhite Technologies, Warsaw, Poland.

You are the radio operator

PodSDR is a tool for licensed radio amateurs. It controls transmitters, and the entire responsibility for operating them lawfully is yours. In particular, you are solely responsible for:

PodSDR does not check any of this for you. Nothing in the software or the documentation is a statement about what you are allowed to do on the air.

Hardware is your responsibility

PodSDR talks to radios, amplifiers, antennas, relays, GPIO pins and other equipment that can be damaged — or damage other things — when driven incorrectly. We accept no responsibility for any hardware issue or damage, including damage to or caused by transceivers, PAs, antennas, tuners, power supplies, computers, phones or accessories, whatever the cause: a software defect, a wrong setting, transmitting into a bad load, a lost remote connection while transmitting, or anything else. Check your levels, your SWR and your wiring before you key up, and use appropriate protection on remote stations.

No warranty

PodSDR is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise that it is free of defects, that it will work with your equipment, or that it will be available at any given time. Parts of it (for example the iOS app) are distributed as beta software and can misbehave, lose settings or stop working. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, PodSDR. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumers' statutory rights.

The cloud service

The cloud broker is a free convenience for reaching your own station. Use it reasonably; do not use it to attack, overload or probe other people's systems. We may change, interrupt or discontinue it at any time. If you need independence from it, the broker software can be self-hosted, and LAN operation does not use it at all.

Licence

You may install and use the distributed PodSDR applications free of charge for amateur radio purposes. Do not misrepresent modified copies as official ones.

The rest

These terms are governed by Polish law. If some part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top tells you when they last changed. Questions: podsdr.sp5tls@gmail.com.
